Pause Cafe, Kuah, Langkawi

Adding to the list of Instagrammable and aesthetic cafes in Langkawi, is the newly opened Korean-owned Pause Cafe. Located above the popular Seoul restaurant (one of three Korean restaurants in Langkawi), Pause is a calming space, with sunset lamps used to add to the chill ambiance.

The menu has a good selection of coffee, teas, iced blended and also savoury food, pastries and croffles. While we did not have time to try the croffles, another table did and the smell was so good, we will definitely be back!

The madeleines and financiers are very in trend with KL cafes, but it would have been nice if they also served souffle pancakes – so far it’s hard to find in Langkawi.

While many of the cafes in Pantai Cenang and Kuah are semi-open air or fully open air (like Smiling Buffalo or Kefi), people seeking respite from the island heat will be happy to know Pause Cafe is fully enclosed, with air-conditioning.

Staff were friendly, happy to recommend drinks, and the overall vibe was very chill. Great place to hang out.
