Review of The Cat Cafe, Bugis, Singapore

Having been to Singapore’s first cat cafe, Neko no Niwa, a year or two ago on my recent trip I was keen to visit another. Googling brought up The Cat Cafe at Bugis, opposite Bugis Junction and above Burger King.

The space is much bigger than Neko no Niwa but felt smaller than Purradise in K.L. Entry fee is SGD15 for an unlimited period of time and comes with a free drink! There’s a selection of food you can order – but don’t feed the cats.

It was cat heaven with 13 fluffballs wandering where they pleased. A plethora of cat toys, beds and scratching posts fill the cafe.

The cats are all rescue cats and their pictures with a short bio hang on the walls of the cafe. It’s great that many cat cafes are giving stray or abandoned kitties a new home.

My mushroom chicken pie was a good snack – hot and creamy inside.

When it was feeding time the cats went crazy running for the bowls.

It was nice and quiet – only 4 other people were in the cafe; one local and three Thai tourists.

The girl at the food counter was really friendly though the same can’t be said of the other staff who looked … Not so friendly. Shame since the staff at both Neko no Niwa and Purradise were all smiles.
At least the cats made up for it!
