The latest cat cafe to hit K.L is situated in TTDI and I was definitely in paradise.
For RM15 (around AUD3) you get one hour with the cats plus a smoothie of your choice. I chose the ‘Kitty on a Tree’ (Banana, oats, milk, honey) since that was most similar to my favourite Boost smoothie. For another RM15 you get a sandwich – I chose chicken and cheese.
The cafe is new – only one week old! The decor is very cheerful and whimsical, with a hot air balloon basket for the cats, a custom built hideaway house and lots of green.
It’s bigger in space than the cat cafe in Singapore (which was also lovely) and some of those in Tokyo.
The cats are all rescue cats from local animal shelter PAWS. There are 9 in total, but the two youngest were at the back so we didn’t get to see them.
All the cats have names but the friendliest was Hero. Not to say the others were unfriendly, but once the cafe had quietened down and it was just us, he flopped down at our feet and started meowing. His fur was so soft 😁
The food and drinks tasted fine, though I was too distracted by the cats running around to pay much attention. The smoothie tasted fresh and full of bananas, but would have been nicer if it was a little cooler (but that’s just my preference). Sandwich was filled well and came with potato crisps.
There are plenty of cat toys for you to use-the favourite seems to be a worn out blue mouse with its stuffing hanging out – and it’s only been a week!
While the cafe is still quiet, there were two other families besides us there. Not that I’m complaining – less people to fight for the cat’s attention XD.
One of the cats – Bree – is a little more shy than the others so she hid herself in the house and above the menu board .
The cats are all well taken care of and have the run of the cafe when everyone has gone. There’s even a water fountain with Vitamin C for them!
The cafe is apparently doing lunch specials… I foresee a lot of office workers (the area is surrounded by offices) coming here to de-stress with some furry companionship.
All in all a good way to spend an hour (or more) in clean, friendly environment with lovely cats. Hopefully more cafes with rescue cats will pop up soon.

Edited 09/06/15 to change it from Vitamin D to C as one of the owners kindly contacted us and said too much Vitamin D is bad for cats whereas C is soluble, and can be flushed out if there’s too much. Thanks Daryl! 🙂

Thanks for the review! We’ve adjusted the “kitty on a tree” recipe to be colder, as that was the same feedback from a few customers. If you drop by again, do let us know if it has improved.
You would also be happy to know that Brie has gotten more confident and has started playing with customers 😀 She’s still a little shy, but no longer hiding at the top or inside the kitty house.
Also just a small correction, the water has vitamin C, not D. Vitamin D overdose can be a problem in cats, while vitamin C is water soluble, so it flushes out of the system if there’s too much.

The few times I’ve been back its never packed, which is great for quality time with the cats. Just wish kids wouldn’t pull on their tails or wake them up when they’re asleep 😦

Oh I know! Kids are probably the hardest part of these cafes. I just visited a cat cafe in Vietnam (will write about shortly) and I had to tell this little girl that cats don’t like to be blown on or have their tails pulled. But yeah I think the timing pricing helps with that
